What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Sales Manager position at Neighborhood Credit Union?
The Loan Sales Manager hires and develops Loan Officers to provide a fast and effective consumer loan experience for NCU loan applicants. The Loan Sales Manager leads the loan sales team toward achievement of lending goals while ensuring ethical sales practices from each Loan Officer regarding all loan and ancillary product sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely performance of the consumer loan application and sales functions.
- Ensures timely response times to mobile and phone loan applications.
- Ensures timely follow up for each loan application through regular and random audits.
- Corrects undesired behavior that may impede overall team success.
- Leads team toward daily achievement of Neighborhood Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, and Service Standards.
- Provides clear goals and guidelines regarding expectations and limitations.
2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional business relations with NCU partner companies, vehicle dealerships, and other financial institutions.
- Administers NCU consumer loan products and collaborate with third party providers to ensure production and reporting accuracy.
- Promptly and professionally responds to inquiries.
- Ensures thorough due diligence when pursuing potential new third party partners or upon contract renewal periods for existing partners.
- Ability and willingness to consistently use logical reasoning and ethical judgement.
3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with NCU personnel and management.
- Effectively communicates with all members, third parties, and all NCU staff.
- Motivates and lead teams toward achievement of daily, monthly, and annual goals.
- Hires and manages Loan Officers to maintain sufficient staffing for effective results.
- Tracks individual and team progress and provides regular feedback to staff. Provides management and staff with applicable reports.
- Coaches, mentors, and develops each Loan Officer.
4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Follows all policies and procedures regulated by the credit union as well as governmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the necessity and purpose of each loan document for all loan types.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of all Neighborhood Credit Union’s products and services.
- Updates and maintains departmental policies and procedures.
- Participates on project teams when applicable.
- Encourages creative thinking among employees to consistently improve processes. Tolerates and coaches honest mistakes or worthy efforts that may fail.
- Carries out all supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent years of experience and education
Required Knowledge:
- Understanding of federal and state lending regulations.
- Knowledge of vehicle financing processes including dealership purchase, private party purchase, and vehicle refinancing.
- Thorough understanding of NCU’s core and loan origination systems.
Experience Required:
- Five years of consumer lending experience.

Salary : $81,000 - $90,000
