TITLE: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION: Full-time (40 hours per week)
SUPERVISOR: Development Manager
JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a member of the Development Team and leads all internal and external marketing and communications efforts across six key areas: digital marketing, email marketing, event promotion, fundraising campaigns, print collateral, and social media strategy. This position supports the Development Plan by creating content that engages with clients, donors, potential donors, supporters, and volunteers; increasing awareness of the Clinic’s services, resources, and education; and supporting the organization’s mission-centric goals through effective messaging.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Identify key platforms, channels, and initiatives for content and messaging delivery.
· Develop and execute an annual marketing and communications plan, including the Development calendar and monthly social media schedules.
· Create, edit, proof, and manage translations for all marketing collateral, including print, digital, signage, and branded materials.
· Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all public-facing Clinic materials.
· Serve as the Clinic’s lead storyteller by interviewing clients, staff, and volunteers to produce engaging copy for fundraising appeals, direct-mail campaigns, grant narratives, events, video scripts, blog posts, and social media.
· Maintain the Clinic’s website, updating content and design for optimal user experience.
· Design and manage social media content, monitor engagement, and analyze metrics across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
· Support event promotion, including creating online registration pages, marketing strategies, emails, messaging, and digital and print collateral.
· Capture, edit, and maintain a library of photos for programs and events.
· Liaise with external designers, printers, and vendors for projects.
· Prepare and publish quarterly e-newsletters and the yearly annual report.
· Serve as media contact and handle press inquiries; the Executive Director is primary spokesperson unless delegated.
· Maintain an organized digital archive of all marketing materials.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Apply marketing, communications, and public relations strategies effectively.
· Craft compelling stories for fundraising and outreach initiatives.
· Create diverse communications and marketing materials, including digital and print content.
· Experience in website design and management.
· Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.
· Communicate professionally with staff, volunteers, donors, and other external contacts.
· Take a creative approach to problem-solving.
· Adaptable in addressing time-sensitive needs.
· Willingness to learn about legal work and the Clinic’s program areas.
· Self-starter with passion for the Clinic’s mission.
· Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organizational skills; must know how to prioritize tasks, manage details, meet deadlines, and follow through.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field; 3–5 years of equivalent experience considered.
· Nonprofit workplace experience preferred.
· Established community connections and knowledge of central Indiana a plus.
· Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
· Experience with website management platforms (e.g., Squarespace) preferred.
· Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact) preferred.
· Experience with fundraising platforms (e.g., GiveButter) preferred.
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and Hootsuite.
· Fundraising and donor stewardship experience preferred.

Pay: From $44,000.00 per year
