Neighborhood Automotive is a six-bay independent repair shop that has been serving Wellfleet and the Outer Cape for 16 years. We’re a small shop with a loyal customer base, a comfortable work environment, and a team that takes pride in doing good work without making the day harder than it needs to be.

This is a great fit for someone who wants to make a solid living, work in a clean and comfortable shop, and still have evenings and weekends to enjoy life outside of work.

What You Can Earn

This is a flat-rate position with a 30-hour weekly guarantee, giving you some protection when workflow fluctuates.

• $30–$45 per flagged hour, based on experience, skill level, and production
• $85,000–$110,000 annual earning potential for experienced producers
• Performance-based pay reviews
• No overtime required

If you’re productive, there is room to earn. If the occasional slower week happens, you still have the security of the 30-hour guarantee.

Your Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

The shop also understands that life happens and tries to be flexible when employees need it.

What You'll Be Working On

Neighborhood Automotive services most makes and models, with a strong mix of:

• Subaru
• Honda
• Toyota
• Domestic vehicles
• Some European vehicles

We generally don't take on vehicles more than 20 years old.

The work includes maintenance, general repair, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics depending on your experience and skill level.

• 6 bays and 5 lifts

• Snap-On and Autel diagnostic equipment
• Tekmetric shop management and digital inspections
• Shop-supplied specialty equipment
• Bathroom with a shower

You'll need your basic professional tools. The shop provides the specialty equipment needed to get the job done.

What It's Like to Work Here

This isn't a huge operation where you're one technician out of fifteen.

It's a small team.

The owner is involved in the business, the staff gets along, and quality workmanship matters. You'll have room to work independently without someone hovering over you all day, while still having support when something unusual comes through the door.

The shop is professional without being overly corporate. Expectations are clear: show up, do quality work, take care of the customer, and be someone the rest of the team enjoys working beside.

We're Looking for Someone Who Has

• At least 2 years of professional automotive repair experience
• Strong general repair skills
• The ability to work independently
• Pride in the quality of their work
• A dependable, team-oriented attitude

ASE certifications, A/C 609 certification, and Massachusetts inspection experience are a plus, but they're not required.
