What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teaching Assistant position at Neighborhood Alliance?
Position Summary: As a valued Child Care Assistant you will assist teachers in varied classroom settings providing a comfortable and safe learning environment for students from 6 weeks to school-age in our Gold Rated SUTQ Child Enrichment Center. This position will work primarily in the Toddler classroom.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist teachers in various classroom settings with providing a fun and educational experience
Teaching Assistants ensure guidelines are followed in compliance with agency policy and state licensing requirements
Assist teachers with planning and scheduling activities for infants to school-age children.
Teaching Assistants provide direct service to our families.
Ensures that parents and program are working cooperatively for healthy growth of children.
Teaching Assistants review lesson plans, prepare and maintain program materials and supplies.
Maintains clean, safe and secure Child Care Center, playground and play equipment.
Participates in required Child Care training to enhance professional growth and continually add value to the children and families we serve
Additional Job Functions:
Teaching Assistants may transports children to and from school, field trips on breaks as needed
Teaching Assistants work together with teachers and staff to promote a team atmosphere.
Other duties as assigned.
Necessary Education and Training:
Must be 18 years of age.
Experience working within the School Systems or Childcare setting preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong problem solving and group work leadership skills.
Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours.
· Access to a vehicle, must have and maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License, clean driving record, and a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
· Warm and friendly personality and willingness to interact with others.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
