Requirements
Principal Duties and Responsibilities*
Health Information Technology (Epic/EMR)
- Serve as the internal administrator for Epic EMR user access, configurations, and workflow optimization.
- Coordinate with the EMR support vendor or health IT collaborative for upgrades, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
- Train new staff on EMR use and assist with ongoing optimization projects.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives requiring EMR reporting and data collection.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Managed Service Provider (MSP) handling IT services.
- Coordinate help desk requests, onsite tech support, and hardware procurement.
- Oversee implementation of IT-related projects (e.g., new phone systems, server upgrades, cybersecurity protocols).
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for new employees
- Liaise with property managers for maintenance issues, repairs, lease compliance, and utilities.
- Track and coordinate building service vendors (cleaning, HVAC, pest control, etc.).
- Support space planning, renovations, and safety inspections.
- Monitor inventory of facility-related supplies and equipment.
- Support facilities-related volunteer projects.
- Support policy development and documentation related to operational workflows.
- Assist in ensuring operational compliance with HRSA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to address workflow inefficiencies or site needs.
- Computer literacy in internet use and Windows environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel with keyboarding skills of at least 45 wpm.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with co-workers and community members.

- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, IT, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience in healthcare operations, EMR management, or IT coordination.
- Strong working knowledge of Epic (or another major EMR platform).
- Ability to work onsite Mondays through Fridays during the hours of 8am and 5pm.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
- Up-to-date immunizations
- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center or safety-net healthcare setting.
- Project management experience.
- Familiarity with HRSA compliance, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or another language commonly spoken by the patient population.
