Duties

• Assist orthodontists with patient care using four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring efficient and comfortable procedures.
• Prepare treatment areas with necessary instruments, materials, and digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools.
• Take and develop X-rays, monitor vital signs, and maintain strict infection control protocols following aseptic technique standards.
• Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to ensure accurate documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and medical records.
• Educate patients on orthodontic procedures, dental terminology, and post-treatment care to foster understanding and compliance.
• Coordinate marketing activities including social media campaigns, community outreach events, and promotional materials to attract new patients.
• Maintain a welcoming reception area as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently.
• Support the practice’s growth by analyzing marketing data, tracking engagement metrics, and implementing targeted outreach strategies focused on pediatrics and general dentistry audiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dental assisting with proficiency in chairside assisting for orthodontics and general dentistry procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic technique.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical coding and documentation is a plus.
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about treatment options using clear medical terminology.
• Experience in dental clinic marketing or community outreach is preferred; creativity in developing engaging campaigns is highly valued.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is advantageous.

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
