About the Position

As a Physical Designer in the Data Centers group, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our engineering teams. Physical Designers are responsible for drafting and modeling in a manner that provides the client with a quality deliverable that is on time and within budget.

Salary Range: $36.00 - $47.00 / hour

The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.

This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, Colorado) candidates.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assists in detailed design of 12.47-500kV substation/switching yards for both brown field and green field sites as needed

• Produces physical substation packages including general arrangements, foundation plans, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination
• Selects hardware for appropriate applications
• Works effectively as part of a team or independently with oversight
• Maintains high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization
• Attends conferences, training workshops, seminars, and classes as appropriate for professional advancement and to maintain quality of work
• Attends safety training and follows safety rules and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Must Have

• Education: Associates degree in related field preferred
• Experience: 3 years of drafting, design, engineering, or related experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required
• A strong command of the English language
• Possesses effective written and oral communications skills
• Good interpersonal and people skills
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Nice to Have   

• Proficiency with and/or knowledge of AutoCAD 3D modeling software a plus
• Proficiency with Civil 3D would be a plus
• Proficiency with MicroStation would be a plus
