Job Overview
Monday - Friday 2pm - 6pm We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to guide our congregation in worship through music and spiritual leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a heart for mentoring others, and the ability to effectively communicate and educate the congregation about worship practices. This role is essential in fostering a vibrant worship environment that encourages spiritual growth and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate worship services, ensuring a meaningful and engaging experience for all attendees.
- Select appropriate music and songs that align with the church's vision and message.
- Mentor and develop volunteer musicians and vocalists, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
- Communicate effectively with church staff, volunteers, and the congregation regarding worship plans and initiatives.
- Educate the congregation on the significance of worship through music, fostering a deeper understanding of its role in spiritual life.
- Collaborate with other ministry leaders to integrate worship into various church activities and events.
- Maintain an organized schedule for rehearsals, services, and special events related to worship.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a church or ministry setting, particularly in leading worship teams.
- Strong mentoring abilities with a passion for developing others' musical talents.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- A deep understanding of worship music styles and theological principles related to worship practices.
- Ability to educate others about the importance of worship within the church context.
- Proficiency in playing an instrument (such as guitar or piano) is preferred but not mandatory.
