What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer position at Nehal Contracting Inc.?
· Civil Engineer is needed to perform the following duties:
· Coordinate with project stakeholders including architects, subcontractors, engineers, and project owners to support the planning and execution of construction projects.
· Manage and oversee day-to-day construction activities by coordinating with site personnel, subcontractors, and field engineers to ensure work is performed according to project plans and specifications
· Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to resolve construction, scheduling, and engineering-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
· Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting notes, and provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and deliverables
· Monitor project budgets, track resource utilization, and assist in procurement of materials and equipment to ensure cost-effective project execution
· Ensure adherence to project schedules by coordinating activities, identifying delays, and supporting corrective actions to maintain project timelines
· Review ongoing work to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering requirements, and safety regulations including OSHA guidelines
· Identify potential project risks, delays, or conflicts and assist in implementing corrective measures to improve efficiency and productivity
· Coordinate project documentation, including tracking RFIs, submittals, and change orders, to ensure proper communication and record-keeping
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between design, planning, and construction activities
· Support overall project delivery by ensuring that all activities are aligned with project scope, contractual requirements, and client expectations
· Prepare and provide oversight for civil engineering analysis, design review, and construction-related activities for infrastructure and construction projects, including:
· Review and interpretation of construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
· Evaluation of structural components to ensure compliance with engineering standards and design requirements
· Performance of site inspections and feasibility assessments to verify construction accuracy and field conditions
· Analysis of soil conditions and foundation requirements using geotechnical principles
· Preparation of quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
· Development and monitoring of project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
· Monitoring construction progress and identifying deviations from design plans and schedules
· Implementation of quality control procedures to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards
· Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards
· Preparation, review, and tracking of RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and change orders
· Documentation of engineering analysis, site observations, and project progress for reporting and decision-making purposes
Bachelor's Degree is required in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and Management.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
