SAP IBP (OBP/ IO-DP/ PPDS)

Role 1.) IBP OBP Lead

SAP IBP Order-Based Planning (OBP) Solution Lead is a senior-level expert responsible for designing end-to-end supply chain planning solutions specifically within the Order-Based Planning module of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

The Lead acts as a bridge between complex business planning requirements and technical system execution, ensuring that supply chain strategies—such as Response & Supply and Real-Time Integration (RTI)—are scalable and aligned with best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Order-Based Planning (OBP), RTI, harmonized planning areas, and the SAP IBP Excel add-in.
• Experience: Typically requires 10 years of SAP experience, with at least 3-5 full lifecycle implementations of SAP IBP.
• Integration Knowledge: Proven ability to integrate SAP IBP with other modules like Advanced ATP (aATP) and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS).
• Certifications: An SAP IBP Certification or Solution Architect certification is highly preferred.
• Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning, including S&OP, Demand Planning, and Inventory Optimization.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Successful delivery of Proof of Concepts (POCs) for prospective solutions.
• System performance optimization and minimal customization of the standard SAP solution.
• Seamless integration and data accuracy across the enterprise landscape.

Role 2.) IBP IO-DP Lead

This is a high-impact position focused on redesigning and optimizing their existing IBP Demand Planning (DP) and Inventory Optimization (IO) processes. Because the client already heavily utilizes these modules, the role involves navigating highly complex requirements and re-architecting sophisticated workflows.

We are looking for a heavy-hitter—a strong, hands-on expert who can lead this redesign from day one. 

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP IBP Lead Consultant with deep expertise in Demand Planning (DP) and Inventory Optimization (IO). In this role, you will architect, design, and deploy advanced supply chain planning solutions for global clients, bridging the gap between technical architecture and strategic supply chain management.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 8 years of core SAP Supply Chain experience, with a minimum of 3 years explicitly leading enterprise-scale SAP IBP implementations.
• Module Mastery: Hands-on expertise in configuring IBP Planning Areas, Attributes, Master Data Types, and complex Key Figures for both DP and IO.
• Supply Chain Acumen: Deep understanding of multi-echelon inventory theory, safety stock calculation, and statistical forecasting models.
• Integration Skills: Proven tracking record with CI-DS, CPI-DS, or CPI data transfers.
• Preferred Plus: Exposure to mathematical optimization engines (e.g., Gurobi) or SAP BTP / PPDS integration.

Role 3.) PPDS Solution Architect

Requirement: Looking for a strong Architect with 2–3 end-to-end implementations.

• Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management are musts.
• Start- Immediate 
• Project Duration: 32 weeks to start with
• Current Project Phase: Will commence from June 8
• Client Location: It will be Nashville, TN, for the majority, but likely a short trip or two to either Bath NY or Green Bay.
• Remote/Onsite Policy: (Is remote okay with occasional travel?) – Yes, but should be flexible
• Nice to have: Experience with Gurobi or the BTP landscape.
• Must have 12 to 15 years of planning experience
• Must have 2-3 PPDS implementations experience
• Must have very strong scheduling and optimizer experience
• It is preferred if the candidate has worked on any third-party optimization tool, such as Gurobi
• Nice to have exposure to the BTP landscape
• Must be able to lead the solution from on-site
• Must be highly skilled in customer stakeholder management

Nice to have:

• While our ideal profile remains a combination of PPDS with BTP or Gurobi, we are now opening the search to strong, standalone PPDS experts. The candidate must have exceptional communication, strong client-handling skills, and the ability to lead and own the solution while collaborating closely with the offshore team.
• We should focus on a good PPDS solution architect having 2-3 end-to-end implementations done, having strong communication and stakeholder management, any experience in Gurobi, BTP is nice to have.
