What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Homemaker (Cleaning for Senior Citizens) position at Negaunee Senior Citizens Center?
Our small, vibrant team is seeking a motivated, responsible person to help our senior citizens live in their homes, with dignity, for as long as makes sense.

The homemaker aide is employed by the City of Negaunee, at-will, to provide light house cleaning to senior citizens in their homes, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, laundry, light meal prep. Our service area includes Negaunee, Negaunee Township and Richmond Township.
HMAs are paid hourly and reimbursed for mileage driven from the center to the client's homes and back.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete house cleaning as requested and paperwork to accompany the jobs.
- Turn in completed paperwork, time sheets and mileage logs on time.
- Adhere to all homemaker policies.
- Attend mandatory training sessions periodically during the year.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver license and clean criminal background check.
- Access to a phone to receive communication from the senior center.
- Minimum one year of housekeeping/cleaning experience.
- Physical ability to perform the tasks required.
- Friendly and approachable personality.
- Strong desire to help others.
- Ability to take constructive criticism and direction.
- Respect for senior population.
- Patience and willingness to work with challenging personalities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.35 - $20.10 per hour
