Position Summary
The primary purpose of the CAD Designer is to plan, organize, develop drawings and quotations primarily for the creation of 80/20 solutions under the direction of the 80/20 Design Team Manager and through collaborative relationships with all members of Neff, the customer, and vendors to ensure that the highest degree of quality delivery of service is maintained at all times.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPE
Directly report to 80/20 Design Team Manager.
This position is non-supervisory.
Build and maintain strong, positive working relationships within and across departments.
Work and communicate consistently with all staff, customers, and vendors.
Duties And Responsibilities

Essential Duties
Develop and maintain knowledge of 80/20 products and services.
Act as liaison between Neff customer service and outside sales personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
Create AutoCAD drawings of assemblies nad schematics as required.
Utilize Neff resources to solicit bids from outside suppliers for items to complete customer quotes.
Create customer value add quotes.
Archive documentation on Neff Intranet.
Conduct project reviews after receipt of customer PO's and prior order entry.
Work with inside sales to convert quote file into job file.
Ensure that purchased materials are ordered and received correctly and timely.
Maintain appropriate files and documentation on all jobs.
Be continually active in the design review/checking process to ensure error free deliverables.
Maintains safe, organized, clean, and efficient work area.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in climate controlled settings, but may be exposed to wet and/or humid hot and/or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, ear protection is provided when needed.
Education And Experience
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
1 – 2 years of work experience with CAD software and mechanical design.
Pneumatic and electrical circuitry experience is preferred but not required.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interprets technical procedures, trade journals, and product information in English.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the vendors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
REASONING ABILITY
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Other Skills And Abilities
Proficiency with AutoCAD software
Computer literacy is strongly preferred
Strong customer focus
