Job Summary: The Inside Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing specific group of Inside Sales Representatives, with ultimate responsibility for driving sales and profitability for their specific market segment.
Job Duties:
- Weekly Sales Management and Meeting Agenda discussion with Director of Inside Sales,
- Work directly with Director of Inside Sales to coach Branch inside sales representatives to successfully improve and implement NEFCO's price quote preparation, procedures, and processes,
- Focus all daily/weekly activities towards Branch Sales$/GP$/GP% goals,
- Review daily Branch bid/buy/sales reports; coordinate customer follow-up with Inside Sales Representatives and responsible Outside Sales Representatives for Branch specific tickets,
- Review daily Branch sales reports looking for pricing discrepancies and monitor GP% for Branch 6 sales tickets,
- Review weekly Branch bid/buy/sales reports; coordinate customer follow-up with Inside Sales Representatives and responsible Outside Sales Representative for Branch specific tickets,
- Supervise Branch Inside Sales Representatives; review pricing requests queued from Branch Inside Sales Representatives,
- Assist Inside Sales Representatives as required in determining alternative product solutions,
- Work with Operations Manager and Customer Service in a cooperative manner to improve our service to our customers,
- Receive and process requests directly from customers and outside sales (via phone, email, website ordering) for price quotations, product availability, and orders in a timely manner - specifically key regional customer accounts,
- Responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer and vendor relationships through targeted phone calls and customer visits as needed,
- Meeting and exceeding top and bottom-line sales and gross profit goals both individually and as a cohesive unit,
- Develop job-based distribution strategies for key commercial construction projects,
- Sell and service customers providing pricing and product application information,
- Generate add-on sales by anticipating other products that a customer may need but has not ordered yet,
- Input all orders into sales order system in a timely manner,
- Schedule orders according to customer requirements,
- Source materials that NEFCO does not keep in stock through interaction with purchasing team,
- Communicate consistently with Customers, Outside Sales Representatives, Director of Inside Sales and Operations Managers,
- Keep supervisors apprised of customer issues as warranted,
- Provide promotional literature and product information as requested,
- Maintain proficiency in NEFCO website, promotions, product catalogs, Eclipse, Microsoft Office Suite,
- Maintain product and industry proficiency via training on various vendors product platforms and Evergreen Marketing Group, as needed; and
- Attend weekly sales and managers' meetings.
- Completion of all assigned NEFCO trainings
- Monitor and enforce all NEFCO training initiatives for associates under your supervision.
- Assist in implementation of new training and enhance existing training processes for associates under your supervision.
- Review direct reports’ timecards, ensuring employees’ time is accurately recorded and complete.
- Approve employee timecards at the end of each period, prior to supervisor deadline.
- Work with employees to resolve errors (missing punches, adjustments, etc.).
- Review and approve PTO requests.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate strong ability to work in fast pace, high pressure environment.
- Excellent computer skills and capability to adeptly operate NEFCO's Enterprise Resource.
- Planning, Eclipse, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Maintains excellent regular attendance, punctuality at work to ensure a high quality and timely response for customers;
- Must perform work accurately and with a sense of urgency and integrity while paying strict attention to detail.
- Degree is preferred (although industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- 5-7 years of work experience (preferably in construction supply sales)
