We are now strengthening our team in Nefab with a Kitting TechnicianThe Foam and Corrugation Conversion technician/operators is responsible for assembling custom packaging kits that include corrugated and foam components to meet customer specifications. This role involves preparing, cutting, gluing, and assembling materials using specialized tools and equipment to ensure high-quality and timely production of packaging solutions. Apply today!JOB SUMMARYKey Responsibilities· Interpret and understand technical drawings and product specifications.· Apply process knowledge to optimize production efficiency and quality.· Operate and maintain equipment including:Band Saw/Die Cut Machine/Digital Cutter/Printer/Manual Pasting/Kitting· Quality & Material Management as per requirement· Ensure product quality standards are met throughout the production cycle.· Monitor material usage and minimize waste through efficient utilization.· Conduct in-process inspections and support root cause analysis for defects.· Team Leadership & Safety· Lead and support a team of operators to meet daily production targets.· Promote a culture of safety and ensure zero incidents/accidents.· Foster flexible working practices and cross-training within the team.· Maintain a clean and organized workspace in line with 5S principles.Your ProfileRequired:High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read and understand work instructions, assembly drawings, and measurements.Basic math and measurement skills using rulers, tape measures, and calipers.Manual dexterity and ability to operate hand tools, cutting tools, and glue equipment safely.Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs for extended periodsRequires foundational experience with production machinery, including operating, monitoring, and adjusting equipment to meet quality and output expectations.Preferred:Previous experience in kitting, assembly, or packaging manufacturing.Proven experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.Hands-on experience with the listed machinery and production techniques.Strong understanding of product quality standards and material handling.Key CompetenciesAttention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good time management and organizational skills.Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.additional informationProfessional PrincipleS- To act in a professional and ethical manner at all times.- To maintain a positive work environment and recognize that this is a shared responsibility and includes recognition, respect, co-operation and open communication.EmployeeResponsibilities- Maintain knowledge and ensure that work is in compliance with the provision of the Act, the regulations and all health and safety policies, programs and practices, as they pertain to the workplace- Report to the employer, supervisor or a Health & Safety representative, any contravention of the Act or regulations, or any hazard they are aware of.- Use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing that the employer requires to be used or worn in a manner that will not endanger the client, themselves or another employee.- Report immediately to the employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the employee is aware and which may endanger the client, themselves or another employee.- Ensure that they do not engage in any prank, contest, and feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.Physical Demands AND ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
