Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager role based in Wichita, Kansas. The Branch Manager will oversee daily operations, including managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory levels, and driving sales growth. Responsibilities include managing team performance, implementing operational policies, handling vendor and customer relationships, ensuring product availability, and meeting financial goals. The Branch Manager will also play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and resolving any operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Leadership and management skills to effectively supervise and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, customers, and vendors.
- Experience with inventory management, sales, and basic financial reporting.
- Knowledge of plumbing supplies, products, or related industries is an asset.
- Strategic thinking and organizational skills to oversee operations and meet performance targets.
- Proficiency in using business software and tools, including inventory and sales management systems, is preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree in business management or a related field is a plus.

What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
- Build, coach, and mentor inside and outside sales, counter, warehouse, and driver teams
- Create accountability through physical standards and our pillars of the business
- Set the tone for a clean, professional, people centric, customer-ready operation
Drive Sales & Customer Relationships
- Lead inside & counter sales to strengthen customer loyalty
- Support outside sales efforts with customer development and prospecting initiatives
- Drive accurate, fast and friendly service
- Develop meaningful relationships with plumbers, contractors, vendors and key accounts
Champion Operational Excellence
- Maintain inventory accuracy, cycle counts, receiving, order picking and routing
- Ensure clean, organized warehouse and counter environments
- Oversee daily operations, safety, and facility standards
- Ensure efficient and accurate use of IT systems
Deliver Strong Financial Performance
- Manage branch P&L, margin strategy, and inventory turns
- Identify opportunities for growth in the Wichita market
- Execute company initiatives and operational improvements that foster financial success
Who We’re Looking For
Required:
- Care deeply about employee and customer relationships. We are a people centric customer service organization.
- 3 years in branch management, operations management, or sales leadership
- Experience in wholesale/distribution (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or building materials preferred)
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and deliver results
- Strong operational and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing P&L, pricing, and inventory metrics
- Experience developing and coaching individual performers and teams
- A “Yes We Can” attitude towards delivering an elevated customer experience
Preferred:
- ERP experience (Epicor Eclipse preferred)
- Prior success in counter environments or contractor-focused sales
- Ability to build relationships quickly with customers and vendors
Compensation & Benefits
