Neel-Schaffer, an Engineering News-Record Top 200 Design firm with offices in nine states, has an opportunity for a Senior Level CEI Inspector to join our growing engineering firm. This position is based in the Myrtle Beach (SC) area. Travel may be required on a temporary basis as project locations change. This position involves skilled sub-professional engineering work in the field and office. The Senior Level CEI Inspector may act as the Assistant Project Manager, perform inspection of individual construction phases, or represent the CEI presence on projects as the owner’s representative. He/she may be responsible for reviewing and directing inspection duties of all project inspectors. The Senior Level CEI Inspector must be capable of performing basic surveying tasks and must be familiar with record keeping and documenting as they apply to inspection and management of a construction project.

Education and/or experience
- Five-plus years of experience in Construction Engineering and Inspection on road and/or bridge transportation construction projects is preferred.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Travel may be required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- The following Certifications are preferred:
- SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician.
- SCDOT Earthwork and Base Course Technician.
- Nuclear Gauge Technician Certification.
- SCDOT Concrete Technician Level 1 & 2.
- Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI).
