Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the planning, design, and implementation of ITS and transportation systems projects.
- Provide oversight over preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Develop systems engineering documentation, including concepts of operations and requirements.
- Coordinate with DOT clients, municipalities, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Provide technical support for traffic operations analysis, system integration, and device selection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred), Electrical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 -10 years of relevant ITS engineering experience.
- Tennessee PE licensure or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience with ITS infrastructure such as traffic signal systems, detection, CCTV, DMS, communications, or traffic management systems.
- Familiarity with TDOT standards and transportation agency processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, Bluebeam. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment.
