Qualified candidates should submit a current resume detailing relevant GM performance experience, technical certifications, and previous performance build experience. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
We are seeking an experienced **Performance Automotive Technician** with extensive knowledge of GM vehicle platforms, including LS and LT engine architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostics, engine assembly, performance modifications, and precision mechanical work.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns on GM vehicles.
- Perform engine removals, installations, and complete engine assemblies to specification.
- Install and service performance components, including camshafts, cylinder heads, valvetrain systems, forced induction systems, fuel systems, and drivetrain upgrades.
- Perform suspension, brake, differential, and cooling system modifications.
- Verify mechanical integrity through testing, inspection, and quality control procedures.
- Accurately document repairs, inspections, and build specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Demonstrated experience with GM performance platforms, including LS and LT engines.
- Advanced knowledge of engine diagnostics, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, torque procedures, and manufacturer service information.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical service documentation, and installation instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while meeting production schedules.
- Experience with aftermarket engine management and calibration.
- ASE certifications or equivalent technical training.
- Fabrication and welding experience is considered an asset.
