Our mission encompasses providing immediate relief to those in active treatment and fostering awareness through educational outreach on early detection and prevention.
Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary leader to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a critical role in steering the strategic direction of Needs Beyond Medicine. This is a remote position, offering the opportunity to impact the lives of cancer patients from anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Shape the development and implementation of the organization’s 2026 growth strategy.
- Governance & Oversight: Participate in monthly board meetings and committee sessions, providing fiduciary oversight and ensuring ethical governance.
- Fundraising & Development: Actively identify and secure financial resources, including donor cultivation and participation in signature events like the annual Karen P. Brown Relief Golf Tournament and canSURVIVE.
- Ambassadorship: Act as a primary advocate for Needs Beyond Medicine, leveraging your professional network to increase our reach and impact.
- Program Support: Provide high-level guidance for our Relief Program and educational seminars.
