Needham Public Schools is an inclusive, dynamic, and multicultural community seeking an energetic, skilled, and warm Adjustment Counselor to join our team. To enhance our goals of supporting every child, Needham Public Schools seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences. This posting is for a full-time adjustment counselor position providing individual and group counseling to middle school students using a short-term counseling model. The adjustment counselor will provide consultation to staff, caregivers, and service providers regarding the mental health and social-emotional needs of the students on their caseload.

Job Description: The Adjustment Counselor works with students who have mental health and social-emotional needs. In addition, the Adjustment Counselor:
- Provides individual and group counseling in school and consultation and guidance to staff regarding the mental health and SEL needs of students.
- Provides ongoing consultation to school staff, caregivers, and service providers in the areas of mental health, therapeutic support, and social-emotional needs.
- Masters in Social Work or Counseling field.
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a school social worker or guidance counselor
