What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Delivery Driver position at Need It Now Delivers - Automotive?
We are currently seeking reliable Independent Contractors to support weekend route coverage and backup needs in the Manassas area.
Scheduled Part-Time Weekends:
· Saturday: 08:45 AM – 03:15 PM
· Sunday: 10:30 AM – 02:00 PM
Settlement:
· Saturday: $125.60
· Sunday: $103.66
· Backup Weekdays vary depending on assigned route $169.00 up to $227.00
Scope of Assignment:
· Deliver automotive parts to assigned store locations
· Follow structured routes while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
· Communicating effectively regarding route status or delays
Requirements:
· SUV or full-size Sedan (reliable and clean cargo space)
· Valid Driver's License
· Smartphone with active data plan and GPS on while carrying auto parts (no Wi-Fi-only devices)
· Must be able to lift 50 – 75lbs
· Access to ECmobile, (ECM) app (for route details and manifests)
· Familiarity with the Manassas, Sterling, Ashburn, areas (or ability to navigate efficiently).
Professional Expectations:
· Contractors are expected to present themselves in a clean, business-casual manner while servicing routes.
· As an independent contractor, you represent your own business while interacting with store personnel and customers.
Additional Considerations
· Ability to adapt to traffic conditions and maintain delivery timelines
· EZ-Pass strongly recommended for efficient route completion during high traffic periods.
· Reliability and consistency are critical for route success
Parts You’ll Transport:
A mix of small, medium, and long boxed auto parts:
· Small/Medium: filters, sensors, spark plugs, gaskets, belts, hoses, fluids, lug nuts, gloves, brake pads, rotors, drums, alternators, starters, batteries.
· Long (up to 5ft): exhaust pipes, catalytic converters, tie rods, control arms, bumper supports, radiators, & A/C condensers (30 – 36 inches wide), break lines in coils (fit in most SUVs or diagonally in some sedans).
Additional Opportunity
