The Human Resources Generalist supports all areas of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee experience, talent management and development, and risk management. This role serves as a key resource for team members, helping ensure HR programs, processes, and communications are administered effectively, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and manage new hire onboarding, including pre-employment requirements, orientation, training schedules, and follow-up activities.
- Assist with benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, open enrollment, life event changes, and employee communications.
- Maintain HR communication channels, including company announcements, newsletters, SharePoint pages, and intranet content.
- Process and administer payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely employee compensation, payroll adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and reporting.
- Maintain working knowledge of multi-jurisdiction payroll requirements, including state and local tax withholding, reciprocity agreements, payroll registrations, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general employment matters.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Maintain employee personnel records and ensure compliance with applicable recordkeeping requirements.
- Administer Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) processes, including documentation, tracking, and compliance.
- Support workplace safety initiatives, accident reporting, and related documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, organizational, and sensitive business information.
- Support talent acquisition activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, assessments, and travel arrangements, as needed.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Three to seven years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with HR, payroll, and employment regulations.
Position Type/Expected Hours
This is a full-time, in-office position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but s/he must be available during the standard work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Physical Demands
This position is largely sedentary. An employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, and hear.
