Key Responsibilities
Market Accounting
- Serve as the primary accountant for assigned markets.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform general accounting activities and ensure the integrity of financial data for assigned entities.
Cash Reconciliations
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations for assigned markets.
- Reconcile ticketing systems, merchant processors, bank activity, and the general ledger.
- Research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized and complete supporting documentation for all reconciliations.
Month-End Close
- Review and post Accounts Payable invoices for assigned markets prior to posting.
- Complete month-end close activities for assigned markets.
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Ensure all month-end deadlines are met accurately and on schedule.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audit requests.
- Assist with sales tax, amusement tax, and other tax reporting and filing requirements.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
- Assist with special projects and financial analyses as assigned.
Financial Reporting
- Assist CAO in preparing monthly financial reporting packages for assigned markets.
- Analyze account activity and investigate significant variances.
- Prepare supporting schedules and reports as requested by supervisor.
Budget Administration
- Upload annual budgets and periodic forecasts into the financial system.
- Review budget data for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist CAO with budget reporting and forecast updates as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Ticketing, Settlements, and other internal departments to support assigned markets.
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal requests.
- Support additional accounting responsibilities across multiple markets as business needs evolve.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented accounting department.
