Role Description
This is an as needed role located in Nederland, TX for a Substitute Bus Driver. The Substitute Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and school-related events. Day-to-day tasks include following assigned bus routes, adhering to schedules, and ensuring the safety of all passengers. Additionally, the Substitute Bus Driver will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus and maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
Qualifications
- Skills to safely ooerate a School Bus
- Defensive Driving competencies
- Completion of Driver Training programs
- Customer Service skills to interact effectively with students and parents
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage time and follow schedules strictly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements
- Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is beneficial
