Job Summary
We are seeking a self-motivated, part-time Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of Nedd & Joi, a growing small business. This person will be a flexible generalist who helps keep things running smoothly across the company — tracking orders, organizing files, answering phones, printing labels, and supporting customers.
This is an entry-level position with training provided, ideal for someone who is comfortable on a computer, eager to learn, and able to work independently with minimal supervision once trained. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule and a real opportunity to grow as the company expands — including taking on more responsibility and helping coordinate the work of others over time.
Duties
- Provide general administrative support — organizing files, maintaining spreadsheets, and assisting with day-to-day office tasks
- Track orders from placement through delivery, including window-covering (shutter and blind) orders
- Print and prepare product and shipping labels
- Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally
- Respond to basic customer inquiries, follow up on orders, and support outreach efforts
- Manage incoming emails and messages related to products and orders
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and basic sales activity
- Support data entry, document updates, and internal tracking in Excel
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision once trained
- Identify opportunities to improve organization and workflow efficiency
Experience & Skills
- No prior administrative experience required — training provided
- Bilingual English/Spanish — required
- Strong computer skills — confident using email, the internet, and common office software
- Working understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator (a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated with minimal supervision
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine desire to grow, learn, and take on new responsibilities
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively
