Join Nectar as an Account Supervisor

Nectar is looking for an Account Supervisor who takes big swings, never stops leveling up, and makes the whole team better in the process.

We're a tight-knit, high-performing communications agency that shapes the stories of today's most disruptive technology companies including LinkedIn, Google Cloud, the world's biggest AI company (yes, that one), and a growing roster of breakout startups across AI, enterprise, and consumer. We punch above our weight because we show up with energy, urgency, and ambition, and because we hold each other to a genuinely high bar.

As an Account Supervisor, you’ll sit at the center of client relationships and team execution—guiding strategy, elevating work, and ensuring programs deliver meaningful results. If you’re energized by leadership, storytelling, and the evolving media landscape, this is your opportunity to do the best work of your career.

Nectarines are curious about where media and technology are headed, especially in this age of AI, and actively use that curiosity to think bigger and move faster. We collaborate without ego, communicate clearly, and take ownership from kickoff to follow-through.

If you're energized by tech, passionate about storytelling, and ready to do the best work of your career in an inclusive environment where your ideas actually matter, this is your place.

About You

You’re a strategic thinker and a doer—someone who can zoom out to shape big-picture programs while staying close enough to execution to ensure excellence. You bring a strong point of view, grounded in experience, and know how to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.

You’re a trusted client partner who leads with confidence, communicates clearly, and anticipates needs before they arise. Internally, you’re a team leader—coaching junior staff, elevating deliverables, and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.

You’re deeply tapped into media, tech, and culture, with a sharp instinct for what makes a story land. You thrive in fast-paced environments, bring energy to every interaction, and push teams (and yourself) to consistently raise the bar.

What You Do

  • Lead day-to-day execution across multiple client accounts, ensuring programs are strategic, on track, and delivering results
  • Serve as a primary client contact, providing proactive counsel and building trusted relationships
  • Develop and execute media strategies that drive high-impact coverage and thought leadership opportunities
  • Oversee the creation of key materials including press releases, pitches, bylines, and briefing documents
  • Identify newsjacking, trend, and storytelling opportunities and mobilize teams to act quickly
  • Manage account workflows, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring consistency and quality across all workstreams
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, providing clear feedback and fostering professional growth
  • Collaborate across earned, owned, and social channels to deliver integrated communications programs
  • Contribute to new business efforts, including strategy development, research, and pitch participation
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and media shifts to inform client strategy

What You Offer

  • 6–8 years of experience in public relations, communications, or integrated marketing
  • Preferred prior experience in agency environments, with a focus on technology (AI, enterprise, B2B tech)
  • Proven track record of developing and executing media strategies that deliver meaningful results
  • Strong client management skills with experience providing strategic counsel and leading relationships
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across formats
  • Experience managing projects, workflows, and multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members
  • Strong understanding of the evolving media landscape, including digital, social, and influencer channels
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Champion the use of AI tools and emerging tech to enhance writing, research, and content production efficiency
  • Comfortable working hybrid 2 days per week out of our hub
  • Location: San Francisco preferred, flex location: New York
