Position Summary
The Loading Team is responsible for the accurate and efficient loading of outbound trucks within a high-volume, multi-temperature food distribution environment. This role requires strict adherence to load sequencing, pallet routing, and customer-specific delivery requirements to ensure product integrity and on-time delivery execution. Shift hours are from 8pm to 4:30pm nightly with positions open Monday through Sunday. Pay: $21.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Execute truck loading operations in accordance with predefined load plans, delivery routes, and stop sequencing
- Ensure all pallets are loaded in the correct order of delivery to support efficient store-level unloading
- Verify and adhere to pallet routing instructions, ensuring product is assigned to the correct truck, route, and stop
- Operate ride-on electric pallet jack safely and efficiently in a fast-paced dock environment
- Communicate with selectors, checkers, and supervisors to resolve discrepancies prior to load
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe loading areas in alignment with warehouse standards (7S/Lean practices)
Performance Expectations
- Maintain complete accuracy in load sequencing and pallet routing
- Consistently meet established productivity and safety standards
- Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, time-sensitive shipping environment
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse operations, including loading, shipping, or distribution
- Solid knowledge of load sequencing and route-based delivery processes
- Experience handling perishable food products, particularly proteins, is preferred
- Certification or at least two (2) years of experience operating a ride-on electric pallet jack
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
- Strong accountability, sense of urgency, and ownership of responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in cold environments
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods
