What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Associate position at NEBRASKALAND INC?
Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Inventory Associate. The Inventory Associate is responsible for the verification, accuracy, processing and management of warehouse product inventory. Inventory data processing required while keeping inventory information correct and accurate.
- Documentation of product supplier/inventor, counts and other relevant information
- Verify Inventory management information accuracy
- Ensure all working and common areas are kept clean and organized
- Learn and retain product knowledge and specifications
- Effectively work in cooperation with safety department staff and management on duties assigned
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary – May exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, reach, and/or carry. This is a fast-paced environment
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Punctuality/Reliability/Flexibility.
- Ability to read and write.
- Attention to detail.
- Desire to learn and adapt to changing situations and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge in warehouse operations and products helpful.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish) a plus
