Financial Controller

Major Food Distributor located in the Bronx is looking for an experienced Financial Controller who will be responsible for managing our accounting, finance functions of the company. In this capacity, the Financial Controller will report to the CFO and have close interaction with other members of our management team.  

• Operational review of information flows and suggestions for improvements.
• Issue policies and procedure statements, as necessary
• Improve internal financial reporting and streamline where possible
• Manage our overall accounting function and monthly close
• Assist in analytical review of our business segments
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership review
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables and V-lookups), ERP systems
• Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and systems.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Strong organizational skills with a great attention to detail
• Ability to follow processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• QlikView software a plus

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
