Nature of Work
Performs a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day to day operations of a function, program, and/or department – this is not a secretarial position. Assists in program planning and development; interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding operating policies and procedures; administers budgets; and coordinates academic and/or staff personnel matters. Resolves problems that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department.
Examples of Work Performed
1. Provide direct operational support to the Associate Vice President Strategic Initiatives including briefing materials, presentations, scheduling, preparation of agendas, assistance with travel arrangements and expenses and purchases
2. Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing tasks, managing competing deadlines, and determining appropriate courses of action
3. Support preparation of annual program reports and monitoring for the Strategic Plan and other initiatives in collaboration with supervisor
4. Support the implementation of project management processes, tools, and best practices
5. Support multiple concurrent projects by managing schedules, deliverables, and dependencies across departments
6. Take initiative in addressing project needs, resolving issues, and advancing work without direct instruction
7. Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and documentation
8. Make informed decisions on routine and moderately complex project matters, escalating only when necessary
9. Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to support decision-making on strategic initiatives
10. Track and compile data (surveys, performance metrics, assessment, climate survey, listening sessions, etc.) associated with strategic initiatives and strategic plan outcomes
11. Maintain and update content for the President’s Office, the Strategic Plan and related webpages, in collaboration with designated IT and College Relations offices
12. Initiate and oversee internal marketing and communications from the President’s Office and Strategic Initiatives as directed in collaboration with the College Relations office
13. Manage associated social media accounts on behalf of the President’s Office
14. Maintain and update Strategic Initiatives Intranet site
15. Interpret, monitor, and analyze information regarding operating policies and procedures
16. Help standardize templates, workflows, and documentation practices associated with strategic initiatives
17. Use a variety of software platforms (such as Jadu, Adobe, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office) to prepare correspondence, publicity materials, surveys, flyers, reports, presentations, and other materials, while managing and assisting with departmental projects.
18. Assist in event planning for workshops and professional development opportunities
19. Cross-train as necessary
20. Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree or work-related experience.

Salary Information
Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive benefit package. Annual salary range is $42,950- $53,688.
