We are looking for a skilled, caring, full-time Registered Nurse. In this role you will be an integral part of our Child and Family Services Division and provide critical care and support to youth at YRTC Kearney.

The nursing staff at our facility are responsible for conducting physical assessments, documentation, individual interventions, assisting the provider who visit our facility weekly, transcribing orders, maintaining clinical records, management of medication orders, refills and pharmaceutical communications including auditing medication errors and managing corrective action plans. Nursing provides management of immunization schedules and updating the state system as well as providing medical support to our facility employees. Nursing staff provide supportive care to the dental providers. Nurses also provide educational in-services for the staff & educate youth daily. Nursing staff is responsible for providing medication aide education, certification, submitting licensure and renewal of applications. Nurses also provide support in the school system to accommodate any identified needs in a timely manner. Nursing staff link communication needs with outside providers to maintain continuity of care with mental health needs and mental health providers, as well as case managers and direct care staff.
Pay Rate: Starting pay rate: $51.336 /hour for new hires. Additional Facility Differential Pay of $3.00/hour when working.
Work Schedule: Full-time. Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. Rotating on-call coverage required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.
