The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has an exciting opportunity for an attorney to join our team and provide legal support to DHHS’ general operational needs, with a primary focus on employment and labor law.

Hiring rate of position: Negotiable; commensurate with education and/or experience, if approved.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience as an attorney practicing law and providing legal services such as preparing and trying cases, advising clients, and/or interpreting laws or administrative policies.
Legal Requirements: In accordance with Neb. Rev. Stat.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Excellent legal research and communication skills. Ability to interpret and communicate the legal effect of labor contracts or other transactional documents; analyze the application of relevant law to specific facts; recognize the impact of developing legislation and case law on the agency and its programs; and interpret complex federal and state constitutional, statutory, and regulatory law.
