Overview
Seeking 4-8 new staff to start by July 1, 2026. We are adding a new small group home for 2-3 developmentally disabled youth and need to staff all positions to cover 24/7/365 care.

Nebraska Care Givers (NCG) is a Nebraska DHHS-certified agency providing services for developmentally disabled persons. NCG seeks to provide an environment where each client is treated with kindness and dignity and assisted with growing their strengths. Our mission is to provide excellent individualized service during every interaction with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Monitor residents’ health by observing patient conditions and reporting changes to healthcare teams promptly.
  • Support medication administration and care plan implementation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare protocols.
  • Some positions may prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control standards.
  • Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to enhance their quality of life.
  • Document care activities accurately, including patient observations, progress notes, and incident reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques including first aid, CPR/AED certification, and medication administration is essential.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide personalized support.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient mobility assistance.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams, residents, and families while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
