Nebraska Cancer Specialists is the regional leader in cancer diagnosis, treatment and research. We are growing and seeking a Oncology Triage Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated and inspiring team. The Oncology Triage RN will assess patient needs and intervene appropriately based on clinical knowledge, established policies/procedures and protocols, and collaboration with other team members.
$2000 sign on bonus!
Duties include:
- Performs telephone triage to determine patient needs and advises patient based on provider/order instructions.
- Receives and returns patient calls within a timely manner.
- Consults patient's chart while talking to the patient.
- Assists call center schedulers by working patient lists and scheduling appointments as directed.
- Handles prescription renewals/inquiries to facilitate patient care. Discusses questions and relays information to pharmacy.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN) required.
- Minimum 1-year clinical experience required.
- Current valid Registered Nurse
- Customer service experience
