What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Room Assistant - 2nd Shift position at Nebraska Aluminum Castings?
As a Tool Room Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting the tool & die and plastics injection molding processes. Your role will involve assisting our Tool Room in altering, repairing, cleaning, maintaining, and assembling various types of tooling, injection mold dies, tools, fixtures, and gauges within our facility. Other responsibilities include cleaning dies, molds, and tools, performing bench and machine operations to construct, alter, or repair the die-casting molds and dies, operating manual equipment such as milling machines, CNC machines, engine lathes, grinders, and more, using precision instruments and blueprints to verify conformance of parts to customer specifications, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Other details:
- Forklift experience and capable of working in a hot work environment.
- No experience or post-secondary education is required for this position; however, candidates with experience in tool and die will be prioritized.
- This position is available on the second shift from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. on Monday through Thursday. There is some flexibility on hours. Some Overtime may be required Fridays.
- This position includes a signing bonus of $500 receivable in full at the completion of 6 months of employment!
