Agronomist

Join Our Agronomy Team

We’re looking for an Agronomist to join our growing team.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with growers, spending time in the field, solving problems, and using technology to help customers get the most from their crops and agronomy services.

You’ll work directly with customers throughout the growing season, helping them choose, manage, and understand the services they use. The position includes a mix of customer relationships, sales, crop scouting, soil and tissue sampling, and precision agriculture technology.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build strong, long-term relationships with growers and customers
• Help customers choose agronomy services that fit their operations
• Support customers after the sale and help them get value from the services they use
• Perform in-season soil and tissue sampling
• Scout fields throughout the growing season
• Watch for nutrient concerns, weeds, insects, disease, and other crop health issues
• Use multiple precision agriculture software platforms to enter, manage, and review information
• Clearly communicate field findings and recommendations
• Follow up with customers and keep them informed
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide dependable service
• Keep accurate records of field visits, samples, and customer activity

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, easy to work with, and comfortable talking with customers.

A strong candidate will have:

• Knowledge of crops, soils, plant nutrition, or general agronomy
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• An interest in sales and helping customers find the right solutions
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfort working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• The ability to learn and use precision agriculture software
• Strong organization and follow-through
• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record

Helpful Experience

The following experience is helpful, but not required for every applicant:

• A degree in agronomy, crop science, agriculture, or a related field
• Previous agronomy sales experience
• Crop scouting experience
• Soil or tissue sampling experience
• Precision agriculture experience
• Familiarity with local crops and growing conditions
• Certified Crop Adviser certification or an interest in earning it

We’re also open to someone with a strong agricultural background who is eager to learn and grow into the role.

Schedule

This position generally follows a Monday–Thursday schedule. Hours may change during busy times of year, depending on business needs.
