This position involves overseeing complex pool maintenance tasks, including water chemistry management, equipment repair, and potentially leading or training junior technicians. Responsibilities- Water Chemistry and Treatment: Regularly test and maintain pool water chemistry, including pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels. Adjust chemical dosages based on test results to ensure proper water balance and select appropriate chemicals for pool treatment.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and repair pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and lighting systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks and address any issues with pool structures or equipment.
- Pool Cleaning and Maintenance: Vacuum, brush, and clean pool surfaces, ensuring the pool area is clean, safe, and free of debris. Perform seasonal pool opening and closing procedures.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise and train junior pool technicians, providing guidance and support. Lead a pool closing crew when necessary.
- Customer Service: Communicate with clients about pool issues, maintenance needs, and solutions. Provide orientations for clients on pool and mechanical systems.
- Record Keeping and Inventory: Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, repairs, and chemical treatments. Manage inventory of chemicals, parts, and supplies.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when handling chemicals and operating equipment. Ensure the pool area is safe for swimmers and other users.
- Experience: Several years of experience in pool maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of pool chemistry, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Certifications: Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or similar certifications are highly desirable.
