What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate (part-time) position at Nearest Green Distillery?
Nearest Green Distillery is seeking part time retail associates to join their team of professionals supporting the newly reimagined Distillery and retail/dining complex in Shelbyville TN. Retail associates will work in a dynamic customer facing environment where they will be expected to assume a range of responsibilities as needed by the store manager.
The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in a customer facing retail setting and preferably experience in an experiential retail setting. They should be flexible, a good communicator, and willing to contribute to different projects as needed.
Responsibilities for retail associates will include but not be limited to:
- Serves customers by helping them select products.
- Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
- Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner
- Responds to customers’ questions.
- Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
- Manages financial transactions related to check out
- Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing cash, credit and debit cards.
- Alerts management of potential security issues.
- Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of future merchandise of potential interest.
- Must be able to work weekends, as the majority of available shifts are on weekends
