Neaman Plastic Surgery is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our growing finance team.
Reporting directly to the Controller, this position plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-paced and expanding healthcare organization that includes Plastic Surgery, Medi Spa, Wellness, Hand Therapy, and related business operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Accounting Specialist will provide support across various accounting, payroll, reporting, inventory, and operational finance functions. This role is responsible for helping maintain accurate financial records, supporting accounting processes, assisting with payroll administration, and providing ongoing support to the Controller.
This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple areas of accounting and finance while contributing to a growing organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Operations
- Enter and code bank account transactions into QuickBooks
- Process accounts payable and vendor payments
- Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy
- Prepare and process check runs
- Assist with credit card reconciliations
- Perform bank account reconciliations
- Collect, reconcile, and balance daily fee tickets
- Collect cash deposits from campus safes
- Prepare bank deposits and complete bank runs
- Assist with cash management activities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Support vendor setup and maintenance
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll administration
- Review payroll data for completeness and accuracy
- Support payroll audits and reporting
- Assist with employee benefit administration
- Support 401(k) contribution processing and reconciliation
- Assist with payroll tax and employee deduction tracking
Inventory Management
- Perform inventory counts and cycle counts
- Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation
- Monitor inventory variances
- Support inventory reporting and analysis
- Assist departments with inventory-related inquiries
Reporting & Financial Support
- Prepare routine operational and financial reports
- Gather data and compile management reports
- Maintain spreadsheets and financial tracking tools
- Assist with account reconciliations
- Support monthly reporting processes
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation
Month-End & Year-End Support
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Support journal entry preparation
- Maintain organized supporting documentation
- Assist with year-end audit preparation
- Support tax and compliance-related requests
- Help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Administrative Support
- Maintain accounting records and files
- Organize financial documentation
- Support process improvement initiatives
- Assist with departmental projects
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field OR equivalent accounting experience
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with accounting software
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- QuickBooks experience
- Payroll administration experience, ADP
- Accounts payable experience
- Healthcare accounting experience
- Inventory accounting experience
- Multi-entity accounting experience
COMPENSATION
- $30.00–$35.00 per hour depending on experience
- 30 hours per week, 5 days a week
