We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform fiber splicing and installation of fiber optic cables.
- Install and configure network equipment, including Cisco routers.
- Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Provide technical support for telecommunication systems, including Ethernet and telephony services.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working with low voltage systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fiber splicing and network installation.
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and computer networking principles.
- Previous field service experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and testing equipment such as an ohmmeter.
- Must have a Truck for work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
