Your day will include:
- Model Duct in Shared Environment
- Attend Coordination Meetings
- Producing Fabrication Drawings
- Generate Installation Sheets
- Coordinate With Engineers and PMs
- Verifying Designs Against Specs
- Applying Revisions/Updating Model to Reflect Trade Decisions
- Self-Check Before Release
What You Need to Bring to the Table
- 3 years of HVAC or mechanical CAD drafting experience in commercial construction.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and SysQue for duct modeling and coordination.
- Experience working inside a shared 3D model with other trades on active construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical plans and specifications.
- Working knowledge of duct fabrication standards and construct ability for sheet metal shops.
- Experience running clash detection and resolving conflicts with pipe, conduit, structure, and equipment.
- Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating with engineers, project managers, and trade partners.
- Strong problem-solving ability to resolve design conflicts and field-driven changes without leaving crews waiting.
- Comfort managing multiple projects and revision cycles at the same time without losing track of the current version.
- Experience producing As-Built drawings from field red lines and installer feedback.
