About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on advanced power and control systems for complex electromechanical and robotic applications. This role offers hands-on involvement in the full lifecycle of unique, one-of-a-kind systems—ranging from concept through design, build, and testing.
The ideal candidate enjoys both design and practical implementation, working cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical or control system design efforts for complex projects or subsystems
- Develop system architectures from high-level requirements with minimal supervision
- Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams
- Participate in and contribute to design reviews
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
- Support system integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities
- Apply sound engineering judgment, creativity, and attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
- 7 years of hands-on engineering experience across design, integration, and testing
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience with electrical, electromechanical, or robotic systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Electrical CAD and simulation tools (Altium, SPICE, AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Experience with marine or underwater robotics sytems
- Integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components
- Design of embedded control systems and interfaces
- Experience with communication protocols (Ethernet, RS-232/422/485, SPI, I2C, CAN)DC power system design and power estimation EMI/noise mitigation, grounding, and cabling practices
