Programmer

Position Overview:

NDS Integration, a leading AV integration company, is looking for a skilled and adaptable AV Systems Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, designing, installing, and maintaining audiovisual systems, with a primary focus on Crestron and Q-SYS technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless system functionality and delivering high-quality AV solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• AV Systems Programming:
• Design and program control systems using Crestron and Q-SYS platforms.
• Customize user interfaces, system functions, and automation sequences to meet client specifications.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug systems to ensure full functionality and integration with other technologies.
• Optimize systems for performance and scalability, ensuring they meet project requirements.
• System Maintenance & Technical Support:
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams, ensuring systems operate smoothly.
• Perform routine system maintenance, diagnostics, and updates to prevent issues and enhance system performance.
• Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
• Availability for “on-call” support, including outside of regular working hours, when necessary.
• Leadership & Team Support:
• Mentor and train junior technicians on programming best practices, installation methods, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Supervise and support installation teams to ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and within deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance on complex projects, assisting in the resolution of challenging issues to ensure project success.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in AV system programming and installation, specializing in Crestron and Q-SYS technologies.
• Skills:
• Proficiency with Crestron Simpl Windows, Q-SYS Designer, and related programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of audiovisual systems, including audio/video processing, video conferencing, and control system integration.
• Leadership and mentoring experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage and guide teams effectively.
• Certifications: Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP), Q-SYS Level 2 Training, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
