Job description:
Liuzzi Cheese is an artisan cheese manufacturing company. We are looking for a reliable energetic person for our warehouse to pick orders to be delivered.
Requirements:
- Highly physical activity; must be able to lift at least 60 pounds and stand for 3 or 4 hours at a time.
- Most of the shift is within a temperature controlled cooler and applicant must be able to withstand temperatures as cold as 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be able to read and write legibly in English.
This is a fast paced and detailed oriented job. The shift typically starts at 3 a.m. Hours will vary during holiday seasons such as November, December and Easter. Being able to use an electric pallet jack and/or pump jack is a plus. Forklift certified preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lift and organize thirty-pound bags of product for up to three hours at a time in 32 degree Fahrenheit temperature
- Picking products on sales orders and building pallets for delivery routes
- Wrapping completed pallets using electric pallet shrink wrapper
- Staging completed pallets in designated area for routes in cooler or loading bay, etc.
- Assisting in moving pallets to make room for more inventory or sold pallets
- Loading trucks for routes
- Unloading deliveries from vendors
- Verifying items on delivered pallets are correct with Bill of Lading/Packing List and signing receipt
- Cleaning warehouse and cooler floors at end of Friday
- Other end of day duties
