What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Teaching Artist Dance Barns After-School position at NDI New Mexico?
Teaching and Choreography:

At The Hiland Theater we are currently seeking teachers with experience and passion in working with children ages 3-12, versed in one or more of the following disciplines: ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary, tap, and hip-hop; we are also seeking hip-hop and breaking teachers for older students as well.

Instructors prepare lesson plans for classes, and choreography for performances
General Artistic Duties:

Attends all enrichment workshops and staff meetings as needed
-
Follows NDI New Mexico program curriculum set by program director
-
Provides program director with required materials and information as needed
-
Supports performances by working backstage
-
Subbing classes when available
-
Other duties as needed and mutually agreed upon
Working Conditions, Environment and Physical Requirements:

Requires weekend and evening hours
-
Requires extensive physical movement, dance, high energy, and stamina

In applicable programs (Outreach) performs functions in a variety of environments including: NDI New Mexico offices, schools, residency sites, and other locations

In applicable programs (Outreach) may require reimbursable in-state travel to NDI New Mexico locations, participating schools, residency sites, and community events
