What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Musical Theater Teaching Artist position at NDI New Mexico?
NDI-NM is seeking a passionate Musical Theatre Teaching Artist to co-teach our afterschool Musical Theatre Track for students ages 8–17 at our Hiland Theater. This role is ideal for a strong vocal instructor who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working alongside a partner with strengths in dance and acting.
Organization Mission:
National Dance Institute of New Mexico is founded with the knowledge that the arts have a unique power to engage and motivate children. The purpose of our distinctive programs is to help children develop discipline, a standard of excellence, and a belief in themselves that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.
Position Details:
- Includes 1–2 weeks of summer camp opportunities (June/July)
- Co-teach 3 musical theatre classes per week
- Program runs August 24 – April 27 (31-week Fall/Spring season)
- Engage and inspire students ages 8–17 in a supportive, creative environment
General Artistic Duties:

Attends all enrichment workshops and staff meetings as needed

Follows NDI New Mexico program curriculum set by program director

Provides program director with required materials and information as needed

Subbing classes when available
-
Other duties as needed and mutually agreed upon
