Job Summary:
Varsity Campus is seeking a Leasing Manager to oversee the leasing process and ensure the successful occupancy of our student housing properties. The Leasing Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of leasing, including marketing, tenant management, and lease execution. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a proven track record in leasing and customer service, and knowledge of student housing market trends.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic leasing plans to attract and retain tenants for Varsity Campus properties.
2. Market and promote available units through various channels, including social media, websites, and print advertising, to achieve maximum occupancy.
3. Respond to tenant inquiries promptly, providing information about the property, leasing process, and available units.
4. Schedule and conduct property tours with prospective tenants, highlighting key features and amenities of the property.
5. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling leasing materials, including brochures, floor plans, and virtual tours.
6. Screen and evaluate potential tenants by reviewing applications, conducting credit checks, and verifying references.
7. Negotiate and enforce lease agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
8. Coordinate move-in and move-out procedures, including conducting thorough inspections and documenting any damages.
9. Liaise with maintenance and repair teams to address tenant maintenance requests in a timely manner, ensuring tenant satisfaction and property maintenance.
10. Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and student housing regulations to make informed recommendations and adjustments to leasing strategies.
11. Prepare and present regular leasing reports to management, outlining occupancy rates, leasing activities, and financial performance.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven work experience as a Leasing Manager or relevant role.
3. Strong knowledge of the student housing market and leasing best practices.
4. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and tenant laws.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to effectively market and lease properties, utilizing both traditional and digital channels.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Proficient in using leasing software and CRM systems.
