We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure our residential and commercial properties are well-maintained, safe, and functional.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry work, plumbing repairs, and basic electrical work
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers
- Conduct regular inspections of properties, identifying potential issues or areas requiring attention
- Assist in preparing vacant units for new tenants by performing necessary cleaning, repairs, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Coordinate with external contractors or vendors when specialized services are required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant trade is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality work
