Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Lisle, IL for a Carrier Representative. The Carrier Representative will ensure efficient freight operations by managing carrier relationships, negotiating rates, coordinating shipments, and solving logistics issues. Additional responsibilities include maintaining communication with carriers and partners, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring an excellent level of customer service. Please Note that the candidate will be responsible for working with major accounts such as UPS, FEDEX and USPS, and experience as a Carrier Representative within the postal service sector is preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in negotiation, relationship building, and carrier coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities for resolving logistics challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using transportation management systems (TMS) and basic computer applications
- Ability to collaborate with teams and independently handle responsibilities
- Previous experience in logistics or transportation is a MUST.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
