This is a full-time, on-site position in Fontana, CA, for an Ultrasonic Level II Technician. The technician will conduct ultrasonic inspections of materials and components as per industry standards, interpret results to ensure compliance, and prepare detailed inspection reports. Additional responsibilities include maintaining inspection equipment, following established procedures, and collaborating with team members to ensure the highest level of safety and quality. The role requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and proactive identification of potential issues.
- Proficiency in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) methods, including calibration, operation, and interpretation of results
- Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, such as Radiographic (RT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Penetrant (PT), Eddy Current (ET), and Visual Testing (VT)
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Working knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., NADCAP, ASNT, ASTM)
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting
- Certifications: Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and relevant NDT certifications; ASNT-TC-1A is preferred
- Work experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or related industries is a plus
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
